Even in a business environment, groups of experts can spend weeks and big parts of their sanity tracking down a single bug - and they discovered it in the beginning. Speaking from experience.

These days, many of us spend more time with our browser than with any other software. I am sure that we all have issues with something. For me, performance is never an issue, but then I rarely open more than five tabs in two windows.

Nevertheless, I am sure that I could list more than 100 things that bug me. My pet bug at the moment is the long list of closed tabs, which renders the Trash Can list useless for me. Many other users asked for it to be increased. Ideally, there should be a Setting for Number of Closed Tabs to Store.

@priest72 ,I think Vivaldi is available in the catalogs of most distros, like almost all browsers, but not as a default browser (yet).
This may change in the future, if Mozillas continues with its policy tangential to the needs of users.

It is strange that just now you are presenting problems with Vivaldi. The updates since last year (3.9) brought even better speeds to the browser. And this 5.1 brought one for Android, so it is not usual to have errors.

It is always important that you give us details such as GPU, processor, RAM, browser version, operating system to know how to help you.

True, but given that companies have no problem to pay for software if they get something in return that solves an actual need, I was thinking that an LTS branch with corporate branding option "upload your logo and color palette, get to choose between 3 themes that they can then adapt" (but without any special support agreement) for a fee below the typical invest approval limits might be a business case.

I wouldn't worry about the blockers slowing the browser down, I have never seen that and they may actually speed the browser up.

Here is my list of recommend blockers: (they block most trackers and ads)

Trackers: DuckDuckGo Tracker Radar EasyPrivacy Ads: ABP Anti Circumvention List Allow ads from partners (support Vivaldi) EasyList Remove Cookie Warnings (I dont care about cookies) ["This will remove all annoying cookie warnings"]

It seems close to perfect as is. There's only a few things I'd want to see changed.

Start exploring transition to full FOSS as a long term project. Make a patreon or something and see how many you get, and see if someone with a business background is interested in doing a volunteer analysis.

An option to disable gestural stuff like pull to refresh.

Battery status is important for kiosk use, but it should be disable-able.

Look into supporting more P2P offline-first features. This could be something like Mozilla's abandoned FlyWeb, integrated MDNS support, the a whole P2P engine like Toxcore, or just an option to treat an IP range on a certain device as a secure context, for things like Yggdrasil's 200: range.
