Interesting. Thanks a ton Gwen!
I wondered about the SMB but I guess security would be rather complicated for things like that in a browser.
So I'll just keep Rainlendar for the time being (it supports FTP).
Like I said, not a big deal, I was just curious if that wouldn't be a good thing to have, but unaware of the FTP issues.
Hail to the dragon! 🙂
This is something that we have discussed before. It is complicated a little, both technically and UX wise, by the fact that views can require scrolling to see all content.
There is a ticket to implement it in our issue tracker so we will get to it sometime, but it might a while until we get to it.
Thanks a lot for testing the calendar out and taking the time to make a good suggestion.
@jerskine said in Calendar Notification - Custom setting:
It would be lovely to have a Custom notification selection for a single event in Calendar.
I'm used to being able to set a notification for something like two days prior to the event then some number of hours prior.
This has been available in both web based calendar services and off-line calendar applications.
In Vivaldi 3.8.2259.37 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
This is possible.
Add NEW EVENT Click CLOCK ICON. Click "+" NOTIFICATIONS

@arcsnim That is a very good suggestion. We have in progress, stopped at the moment unfortunately since higher priority tasks popped up, work on a status button to show some basic statics and troubleshooting info. This list of notifications would fit right there, hopefully we can get to it soon.
I would also like a feature to set one or more standard notification times for all events (configurable, when necessary) - e.g. when I create a new event, most time I set a notification 1 day ago and 1 h ago. Would be helpful, if I could set this as a standard so it is not necessary to set it for every event.
on top I'd like to import a .ics file that I have downloaded by double-click and choosing open with Vivaldi. (Win10) When I chose "open with... other application" and went to vivaldi, all it did was to add a copy to the download panel and open it in the Windows default calendar app. File-import worked
Discoverability is lacking still it seems, and we want to add more ways to interact with links, f.ex. while editing.
But it is good to hear that this helps with your workflow.
Thanks for taking the time to try it out and report issues.
