Welcome to the forum, @jcullins!
While I wouldn't support the other suggestion you made for email folders, this one is something that makes total sense to me. Thumbs up. I assume it will be possible to rearrange certain items sooner or later.
In a folder based email client, folder actions as you describe them are certainly useful, because they support filing more efficiently.
However, Vivaldi Mail is not a folder based client, and while I do believe that (because people and preferences are different) some functionality supporting folder based workflows should be implemented, it should not get any bells and whistles at this point while we patiently wait for full functionality that supports the core database concept. Which means blazing fast and rock solid search, filtering, and labeling functionality.
Email folders are a huge waste of time, in particular if you do manual sorting. In a nutshell:
If your automated filing system is deterministic / has a clear rule system, then a search using the same rule set will lead to the same results
If your filing system is not fully deterministic or depends on arbitrary choices you made weeks/months/years ago, you didn’t file your email away, instead you have just hidden it somewhere.
If you can’t automate a rule because the email received does not contain very relevant information, consider adding one or more labels (e.g. a project name, or “important”) instead of filing into a folder to support a future search.
@BigRed314159 If you really don’t wanna see a monospace font (except for sites which specify an existing one or load a webfont), you can change the monospace default to a serif font. You probably won’t see much difference around the web, except for your Vivaldi plaintext mails.
Changing my default monospace font to a serif font like Times does fix the problem I had when reading plaintext emails, but creates unwanted spill over effects. Most notably, when I read code online it is now displayed in Times too which is undesirable.
I've found myself typing <tab> in an attempt to switch between searching the current view and "All". Presumably my muscle memory thinks that will select the next form input!
Perhaps a keyboard shortcut, e.g. a tab keypress, would be useful to toggle the "Search in" setting? After all, the keyboard has just been used to type in the search text.
Totes would love the drag'n'drop email functionality. Especially where i have several accounts and need to move an email from one account to another. Drag and drop emails into folders is like normal right?

Like this suggestion? https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/53412/mark-as-read-for-xy-days-or-follow-up-in-xy-days-label
Sure, I like that it clears out of Received or Unread until designated Date / Time
