@asparagus1973 No support currently, that’s the feature I’m waiting for too. You can of course decrypt messages manually, outside of the browser… but who does that?
@HansHansen I agree with @Zsul : unless you can control what software the users can or can't install (and some places do), it's very hard to guarantee that everyone will use it the way you want to. If you don't want people using an email client, then block the POP/SMTP/IMAP services from being used.
For instance, whenever I'm connected to my company's VPN I know Vivaldi mail will stop fetching email because that traffic is not being allowed out.
I never tried to use it to connect to my company's email (I don't want to mix things at that level) but if I did I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't accepting it because it's not Outlook...
And other stuff like that.
Thanks for the replies and advice. I should have mentioned how thrilled I am that this thing is finally (almost) here, and praise to all the people who have worked on it over the years. Yay Vivaldi!
But I think I may just wait for an update wherein "the import works flawlessly". I'm afraid that I am often proof of the adage "a little knowledge is a dangerous thing."
@code3 Yeah. I've been trying to get that thing to work for quite awhile (Proton Thunderbird mail bridge). I'm currently reaching out to them for support.
@nukkels I think a reasonable default would be "received," which is different from "All Messages," but does show received mail that has been marked as "read."
@mike999 said in Mail 4 not importing Thunderbird mail folders:
Would also be good if you could drag and drop messages from one folder to another.
....sorry... or create new folders...
It's possible that the outgoing mail server on the sender side is misconfigured and not adhering to common standards we follow. But to be sure, please send a private message to us on https://help.vivaldi.com/services/webmail/troubleshooting-webmail-issues/, so we could find out the exact cause. Thanks 🙂
