@HarryTbull From the message sent to our support it appears that you're having troubles with our webmail service - but it rather looks like some kind of problem with your browser. It works correctly here. Try removing your saved password from settings, and save it again.

By the way, 3.9 should be out now. In the meantime I pushed 4.0 with some fixes and the migration to manifest version 3. Turns out Vivaldi was buggy when I first tried almost a year ago. But the commits I did back then work flawlessly now. For the record:

@TravellinBob It's not restricted in any way - the blogs are public*. However, you can expect that most of the "guest" visitors might be people who are interested in the Vivaldi browser. π
* Edited to add that you can change the settings to discourage search engines from indexing your blog. You can also make the posts password-protected if you wish.
@vivaldrmg From what I can tell, your account is active in our system, so there's no need to "reactivate" it. Are you sure you provided the correct credentials on the computer that you're trying to sync?

In case you're going to use Sync for backup only on one device, make sure you pick an encryption password that you can remember and download the backup encryption key.
Sync is first and foremost a feature to synchronise data across multiple devices not a backup feature. Though, in most cases it does work as one, as long as you can remember the encryption password or have a valid backup key.

The phone verification is only for using the Webmail and blog services. This is specifically requested to avoid using Vivaldi for purposes other than what is intended with these services.
However, if there is a problem with your phone number, by contacting us we may be able to block your account - change the number to a secure one.
That is what our support department, Vivaldi team and moderators are for.
@jumpsq I guess related to EU-GDPR there is no informed consent as described in https://gdpr.eu/gdpr-consent-requirements/
And CF have some sub-processors of their data in the USA as written at https://www.cloudflare.com/gdpr/subprocessors/ π
I reported my concerns to web team and they will check this.
@andi90 It won't be all of them at fault. If you re-enable them one at a time you'll be able to pinpoint the actual offender... then depending on which one, it might have some settings to adjust that might help.
@billdehaan Don't be misled by the error message; it doesn't refer to the header menus, it refers to selecting the type of issue.
