Hi, thanks for your request.
This sounds like the same things as https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/24608/implement-tree-style-tabs, so please discuss there.
Excessive white space on page maybe due to Markdown implementation automatically wrapping line at column 80; could not locate reference in specifications for this hard setting.
I do not believe this automatic wrapping of line should be applied in code blocks.
@auipga If you follow the blog for snapshots, you will get a blog post explaining all new features whenever they are available for testing. If this feature is ever implemented, the same will happen.
@Lekamea There are already several threads related to this topic.

@oldbushie said in Adjustable Tab Volume:
I've started watching a lot of twitch streamers lately, and unfortunately their volume tends to be all over the place. Sometimes I have to crank up my system volume to 50% to hear them, and then I get my ears blasted when I switch over to louder content on a different streamer. The volume control inside of the twitch widget isn't sufficient because it can only go up to 100% of the volume that Vivaldi is set to in Windows. I want to be able to keep my system volume at 30% and "boost" the volume to 50% on a case by case basis per tab. Alternately, some kind of automatic volume equalization would be great.
You may be able to do something like that system wide. I recently found an option to do just that when I was messing around with the realtek audio manager or rather the lack of it these days. Well I found out that there is this windows app alternative these days (realtek audio control - installed: realtek audio console). Weirdly it can't be found in the ms app store when searching it but it is there via web search engines. Anyway I found out that it has the option for global audio normalization called Loudness Equalization under Speakers (and Realtek digital output in my case).
That said I would also like to be able to adjust the volume per tab. Using PiP you want to be able to lower sounds from other tabs like the bleeps of a game for instance.
@paul1149 I don't use stacks much but I think if you restore the window, it brings you back to where it was when you closed it. I can't reproduce this right now (traveling, on mobile) Just try it out - save a session, open a one tab window, close the original one and then check the trash button or the window panel
@alexandremckinnon This is already possible. The command is called [Open Link in Another Window].
If you go to vivaldi://settings/appearance/ you can select Link from the Menu Customization dropdown and add the command from the right pane by dragging it to Content pane on the left.
The command will display as [Open Link in Another Window] (as Subfolder) when in the Content pane to show that it will have a sub menu. It will also only show up if you have more than one window open.
Edit: @Pesala beat me to it. But it is available in the current Stable, so no need to wait for a new update.
@rybonucleic You have probably read the replies in the other topics. When you share a computer with other people, each user should have their own account on the operating system. That’s not a browser issue. The only reason why a general request for this feature is partly viable, is the circumstance Vivaldi has following sentence in their help pages:
User profiles allow multiple “users” to share one Vivaldi installation, without requiring you to log in to a different operating system user account, or maintain multiple Standalone installations.
Albeit we should notice the quotes around the word »users.« It’s not obvious whether this is meant to refer to different people. And even when taking this into account, the password/lock should be on each profile, not on the browser itself. Vivaldi would only be interested in separating users inside the browser, not locking the browser for everyone but select individuals.
A more complex note editor could become a killer feature of the Vivaldi browser.
You should take a look at Obsidian.md, that is just a electron app on top of a collection of markdown files.
Features that I'd like to see:
support of Mathjax
full sync options, including pictures etc, storaged locally
Wiki like interlinkings.
@ajayjangra
Hi,
You've been answered about that, just Typed Data is Sync'd

Adding my vote for a solution to this as well. It is really disorienting for me to jump to a (seemingly random) tab stack when closing a tab in my current tab stack. I really only ever want to move to another stack manually.
Thanks for answering.
Yes, I can assign one shortcut per page action, or press F2 and type the page action...but I don't see (or understand) how I can assign one shortcut to execute more than one page action, since I can't enter the page actions themselves in the command chain menu (they aren't part of the command chain menu options available for us to choose from). Try to type Minimap under Command 1 and you'll see, nothing shows up.
All I want is to press [F1] and have it execute "Filter Invert", then "Minimap" and then "Inline Access Keys": ...one page action after another, just by pressing F1.
Right now, even if I assign a shortcut to each action via Keyboard/Tab(*), I still would have to press 3 keys; It is indeed much faster than the menu option, but it's still not as quick as a command chain or quick command (where I press 1 key only, and can add other things in between, like delays, if I wanted to).
Am I missing something?
(*) say, [F6] for Filter Inverse, [F7] for Minimap and [F8] for Inline Access Keys.
