I just want to escalate VAB-4062 (Non-Latin search terms getting corrupted when searching with Google from the address bar). This bug is making Google-searching unusable for anyone searching in non-Western languages.
@mossman I agree; it's really annoying.
Oddly, there was a change for me today. I have two phones, one with Android 11, one forever stuck on Android 9.
The 11 phone doesn't have tab groups enabled anymore (I guess that changed today), but the 9 phone is still stuck with them. Still can't disable. I have no idea what changed, when, or why there is a difference; I didn't meddle with any settings in Vivaldi or the phones.
Same Snapshot, different Android versions, different OEMs, different Tab Group situations. 🙄
I think @infosrefanvlad is right, and it will probably disappear after the next Snapshot, only to reappear a few versions later.
The "Follow" is enabled by the flag/experiment "Web Feed." This was enabled by default once my Snapshot updated. Is Vivaldi planning to use this feature more broadly, or is it just a fluke local to my phones? Currently, there doesn't seem to be a way to manage it. Not a pressing matter, I can easily turn it off, but I am curious.
Oddly, this was only enabled by default on a more recent smartphone that I have, running Android 11. My other phone with Android 9 did not enable this by default when I updated Snapshot there.
btw: please get that home button back in the address bar, pleaase!
I second this. I know a lot of people wanted to move it to clear up space, but what I love about Vivaldi is its user interface. Because I also love its customizability, perhaps it could be made an option to move it off of the URL bar if people don't want it. Just a thought.
