@poto , you can open a privacy window in Vivaldi without problems, that isn't a problem.
A own browserengin is a lot of work, because it's the most complicate part of a browser. For this reason currently all browser uses one of the 3 engines (WebKit, Blink or Gecko). Vivaldi is a small team and don't have the capability to create Vivaldi with a new engine from scratch.
But this has nothing to do with the possibility of the browser itself, it not límited in any manner to improve new ideas, I think that Vivaldi proved it as the most feature rich browser out there.
@drbonesaw , yes, which Vivaldi also include by default in the list. No problems to use DDG, Ecosia, Startpage and others from the list, even if you don't add others by yourself. That Vivaldi use Bing by default is irrelevant, the first thing when you install Vivaldi the first time is that it guide you through its settings where you can select the search engine you like as default.
@longlife Vivaldi also has factory built in nice effects called page actions:

The name Crimsonshade originates from an old MMO where I used to play a rogue. The name is supposed to refer to this - "shade" as in "someone who hides in the shadows" and "crimson" as in the colour of blood (the name could also have a double meaning, as "shade" could also be referring to a shade of colour). While I long ago quit the game in question and now just use the name as a cool moniker, were I still playing, the "Lucifer" connection would be quite apt 😉
@code3 , yes, that is the point. I love SSuite, because it works everywhere without account and stores the files in your HD in Html format by default, that is, you can open them direct in the browser, or edit them in the SSuit, or host them direct as webpage in one of the free hosts, like Infinityfree, MX or others. Maybe this can be more in the interests of a company than GDocs
@luxuri I hope you come back to Vivaldi one day. And I hope they allow community contributions, and more speed, though it may be on your end because not everyone has such speed problems. In the meantime, you do not need to leave the forum!
It's always good news to know that someone missed Vivaldi. As you say, it always makes itself missed when we don't use it.
In the latest version, significant advances were included with respect to cookies and cybersecurity. I invite you to read them and make the most of them.
