It needs some time to figure it out and find out the usefulness.
For tiling, you would need 2 Screens or more or one in full screen and just work for a period of time.
Usually, Studying, working, researching... you end up with many tabs.
Sometimes not all users knows the many features it has and its combinations.
But if even knowing those features are not enough useful to use it, fine.
@stardepp Well done for providing this help for noobs, & especially for linking to @LonM's fantastic mod.
Just wrt broadening the relevance for non-windoze users, the corresponding Linux default Profile Path is:
I'm sure that in no time flat a Mac user will be able to add the relevant path for that platform, to this thread.
For anyone unsure of their actual path if somehow they did a non-standard installation, they can easily discover it by inspecting internal page vivaldi://about/.
@Pathduck No, MediathekView is open source and may officially offer the services of the public media libraries. With the free extension Hoxx VPN
I was able to bypass the country lock and could watch Babylon Berlin from Sweden (Finland does not offer Hoxx)
For example: The German ZDF magazine Planet E. also offers its reports in English
Many other German TV shows also offer their programs in English. If I can think of more, I will publish it here.
@Pesala said in Change font throughout Vivaldi (Windows):
This step is no longer required. Custom UI Modifications are enabled by default in Vivaldi Stable 3.3 or later.
I've tried now with a clean --user-data-dir on my 3.4 & it's still disabled (by default).
One can also see the experiment features in the Biscuit Area of the Settings dialog. Enter the "dog face" emoji to enable it.
These are two different experiments... one is chrome://flags for Vivaldi's features & the other is almost purely for testing.
Hi, one user post this link, you can choose a list and copy link from Home button then add the link to Vivaldi.
It seams most lists are linked to Github.
@theOtter I agree, the Window Panel is fantastically useful as a quasi-TreeStyleTab. Indeed it's been my V UI default now for months, with the tab-bar set vertical but minimum width next to it. If you don't already know, this little piece of genius CSS https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/368289 has substantially increased my WP's usability [thank you yet again @potmeklecbohdan]. IMO these future V WP enhancements would take the browser to further heights:
Support tab scrolling by mouse-wheel in the WP, just like the tab-bar already does.
Allow "infinite" tab nesting in the trees, like Firefox AO TST, & Falkon browser's vertical tabs panel.
Support tab-previews in the WP, just like the tab-bar already does.
Said improvements would allow users to deactivate their vertical tab-bar altogether, & use WP as a full-on analogue of TST with the bonus of previews that TST lacks [but it does already have nesting & scrolling].
@potmeklecbohdan Good catch, I edited my post above, doing this I got the same result:
$ grep "\"name\" : \"COMMAND_" Vivaldi-settings-pp.json | wc -l
And for the html there are two or even three elements sometimes for one command.
@dmkroslindale said in Default clock data:
I cannot locate a setting to return the clock to default settings.
It does not need a setting. Just enter the default alarms and countdown as listed above. These are just placeholders to illustrate how the features might be used.
@theprawn Interesting one.
For your information, I use a free RSS reader (www.netvibes.com) which also offers variety of features that are available in the web panel.
@tedsmostexcellentadventure It is working as expected on Windows. I used Delete Browsing Data, All Time, and included Browsing History.
Specs: AMD A10-6800K, 8 Gb (WinSPRLevel = 5.9) on Win 10 64-bit 1909 build 18363.657 • Snapshot 2.12.1838.3 (64-bit)
@stardepp The checkbox in Settings, Webpages, Use Tab Zoom (Retain zoom level when navigating between websites) controls this behaviour.
If it is Enabled then you get the behaviour that you describe.
If it is Disabled then each website remembers its zoom level. I prefer this option. For example, the Serif Forums fit my 1200x1600 pixel monitor @ 110% webpage zoom, but my default is 120%. By disabling this option, each website can be set to suit the view-port or the font sizes on that site.
:smiling_face_with_open_mouth: :smiling_face_with_open_mouth: :smiling_face_with_open_mouth: 😀 😀 😀 Vivaldi is always good for surprises, of course only positive ones.
Vivaldi's enormous diversity continues to excite me day after day.

@LonM Oh ok. I think the heuristic thingy is pretty new, recently some people complaining about the auto discard being too aggressive . And most advise from Internet is disabled the function completely, or enabled with heuristics disabled.
I guess I better disabled it while waiting for it to "graduate" from kindergarten. LOL
These video codecs, container are really confusing.
Simply h.264 is a compression standard and Mpeg-4 is the standard container include video and sound data, for example.
Confusing is you can have an avi file also compressed with h.264, it is also used for HDTV, Bluray and so forth.
In your case, if the first video play all other avi, mkv and what else h.264 compressed should work, too.
