It's not critical, but will be useful in case of multiple devices, (re)installing OS or changing device.

@iwz Sync is still work in progress. There are many feature requests for sync, such as Sync Web Panels.

A last painful resort might be found here. This thread is pretty much a duplicate of that. I think a feature of bookmark all tabs on mobile is the quickest and simplest way to officially solve this for now. I upvoted it. And background tabs must be synced as well.

Hi, passwords are syncing fine for me on Android 8.1 and 12 devices.
Open vivaldi://sync-internals on your Android device and there you can see what is actually synced.
Hit Trigger GetUpdates to manually update sync.

Sad. I have been testing Chromium browsers including Vivaldi, Opera, and Brave; and was about to choose Vivaldi after resetting my PC until I faced this hassle.

I don't know if this is related to my earlier problem, but Vivaldi has suddenly logged me out of everything again. This time I didn't even close Vivaldi or shut down my computer. A message showed up, saying that Sync was Disabled, and I could find details about this issue in the Sync Settings, yet, accessing the Sync Settings only brought up the Sync section of the settings, allowing me to log back in, with no extra details.

Pop-up message: "An issue caused Vivaldi Sync to stop working. You can find more details in the Sync Settings."

Fortunately, logging in to Sync allowed me to get back synced data, except for the cookies, meaning I had to painstakingly relog into every platform I was l logged in to before.

I am using Windows 10, Vivaldi 5.5.2805.44 at the time of the log-out (about 15 minutes ago)
(5.5.2805.48 as of now)

I have Vivaldi only on this single PC.

Since this is the second time an issue like this has happened, I am once again asking for any help in fixing Vivaldi randomly logging me out of my profile.

Before you start to repair.
It is maybe good to start from scratch, it is possible your profile is broken and this kick you in the back at some point.

@Knogu78 They are not synchronized if they are not logged in. They will vanish of their own inertia in a couple of weeks or so. You can't delete them but the server will do so of its own accord when the data loss safety period expires.

Do you have the bookmarks available locally in at least one Vivaldi instance you've synced?

If you do, log in to Sync on that device as well.

@mib2berlin Thank you. I've also saved a backupkey through Vivaldi mobile and upload it to VivaldiMac and still same issue

Update 2: HUH, Triedto upload key file again and it worked. Allthough it's the same password. Strange

@somuvermasv1 The encryption key can be used when you forgot your encryption password. Next time backup the encryption key as written https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tools/sync/#Backup_Encryption_Key

Hi, the deleted reading list entries strikes back on my synced devices.
I have now delete list entries on my main system, reset remote data.
My Android had to resync but all deleted list entries are still there and after some time they appear on my desktop system again.
I use the snapshot on Windows 11, Linux and Android.
The list is getting longer and longer, which is exactly the opposite of how I actually want to use the list. 😕

I also had the problem that not all my Android tabs appear on the Windows desktop version under the cloud icon. Only those that have been "actively open" on Android are to be found...
