@luetage I have not tagged it as Resolved, but if it is not currently being worked on, then it's no longer In Progress.
I think it would be better to post each suggestion in the pinned thread: Feature Requests for the Blogging Platform then they might get the attention that they deserve.
The Blogs do need some TLC.
It would also be nice to customise the fonts being used. Right now on my blog I can see that something is trying to load fonts from google's fonts API.
I'd rather not deal with google, and just have people use the fonts installed on their operating system.
@tonywebster Again sorry for the trouble. We need to add a plugin so that you can receive such emails. For security reasons, it's a work in progress and might take a little while until it's implemented. Thanks for being patient with us.
I guess I think Google Analytics Analytics
It describes very well how to use it
I put my site link
I myself recently started to hire graphist to work on these topics, but I could not ask them to solve your problem right now.
@gaelle Yeah, thank you. Incidentally I switched to this Setting last week after writing a new blog post. I didn't know about it initially and it turns out that many other users don't know this either. In the meantime I accumulated over 1000 spam comments in a very short time by the way.
The only thing I can say is it works – spammers don't have Vivaldi accounts. I also thought about setting the word blacklist, but didn't test this as the registration setting is enough.
And an additional comment about the automatic spam check: Turns out the check only works, if you enable it by having a paid Akismet account. Probably not worth it for a casual blog.
@fdesign Hmm, there's no way to set foreground color on Cocoa either. I believe it's a regression, because we used to be able to do dark themes – I had one myself in the beginning, but now it seems impossible to set one up. Therefore something must have changed over the last months.
The premade themes are handy, but it would be far more natural to be able to write your own CSS sheet for any given theme, that's what I would like to see.
This is still happening, so here's a more detailed report:
I have this in a web panel:
(accounting for whatever your username is)
Every now and then (about once a week) I get logged out
Loading the web panel takes me to this log in screen
This has the following parameters (I have redacted some of them):
Enter authentication details
Click login button
Login button changes colour
Then, I get directed to the error page shown above:
This doesn't make sense, as if you look at the original oauth URL above, you can clearly see that a state is set.
At that page, click "back to vivaldi community"
You are not logged in
Click home button in the web panel controls
You are logged in
And to top it all off, if I go to vivaldi.net in a tab, I am logged in, despite being just told in the panel that I was not.
Vivaldi 1.16.1177.5 / Chrome 65.0.3325.183

Turns out this doesn't do anything. Akisment isn't actually capable of checking most comments for span. Well, I just use the bulk action to get rid of them. The only annoying thing is looking at all of them to find the real ones. It's a real pain, I bought 2000 packages of viagra and signed up to a dozen different matchmaking sites – all by accident because I wanted to handle the comments.
Vivaldi team help us
@greybeard If you have it enabled to continue running in the background when closed, it can cause you to lose your session tabs (if you have it set to open with last session) and can apparently in some cases interfere with updating.
@allo Right. The website is the web presence. There is a category in this forum to make requests: https://forum.vivaldi.net/category/60/forum-feature-requests
I'm just a mod and internal tester. I don't work for Vivaldi. So I can't directly do anything about it - but if you post in the feature requests area, it will come to the attention of the community developers more quickly. It would, of course, require a complete overhaul of the site, so I'm not sure how quickly it could be addressed.
