I just have to laugh. The same thing happened again, this time to my secondary account (MM0) I have just created to start a secondary blog. I guess I have to file another support request to free this one, too.
FYI below is what I (as MM0) submitted in the Explain-Your-Actions dialogue:
All I did was published About page and one more post as "private", then changed the status of About page to public. No violation of ToS has been committed. Will file support request at vivaldi.
Edit = addendum
So I created a secondary account (named MM0 ), and set up a blog (didn't get blocked as spam this time hehehe). And invited myself (this account) as a Contributor (later elevated to Author to remove the hassle of extra review process). All went reasonably well, and I'm happy about that.
There is one problem. When I (as MM) go to MM0's new blog, my "My Blog" address, accessible from the avatar at top left corner, gets changed to MM0's new blog. And I'm unable to change the link back to MM's blog.
Wonder if Jane and the team are aware of this as a known issue? If not, I'll start a new thread with more detailed description. Please advise whether it is necessary to do so.
Edit = Addendum
I completely logged out of both vivaldi.net and forum.vivaldi.net, cleared cookies and logged back in. The same issue of the wrong "My Blog" address in drop-down from page top left avator still happens. But I seem now able to correct it by going to "Profile" (https://login.vivaldi.net/profile/samlsso). Still an annoyance though.
Yeah, I noticed that the link I posted isn't the recent list, but just a list of user blog pages. The dashboard still exists, but I overlooked it. Anyway, putting a simple link up to the recents list (which should have a possibility to pick languages) from the main blog page should be enough. That's approximately one and a half minute of coding.
hello Samtompkins96. Yet there is no samtompkins96 blog page at vivaldi userblogs. Will you be creating a vivaldi blog?
What progress, backwards, how far have you made it back into the history of years of vivaldi blogs, in your reading?
@Dantesoft I couldn't agree more. Also, in many parts of the world, birthdays are considered very sensitive personal information. Anybody uncomfortable with disclosing it will not enter their real birthday, and it's not validated, so it makes far more sense to just go with a "I certify that I am 16 years of age or over" checkbox.
I still hope the field will be replaced with an over-16 checkbox.
Well from a quick look at the source, they are actually using a custom Wordpress theme called "Vivaldicom-theme".
The CSS is here:
Maybe if they were nice they'd share it
@gaelle @gaelle I wanted to embed some WordPress plugin like contact-form-7, or you can make a default contact screen / widget that sends email to our e-mails(once its integrated with our blog's account).
